This event will be subject to capacity limits to ensure Fencing Victoria complies with social distancing directions provided by the Victorian Government. The events have been spaced out accordingly and a Fencing Victoria COVID-19 Marshall will be in place to ensure the directions are adhered to. Everyone within the centre must adhere to the directions of the COVID-19 Marshall or be directed to leave the facility. Late entries may be refused if the event capacity has already been reached.
As part of these measures only one parent per child under the age of 18 will be allowed to enter the venue. Competitors over the age of 18 may not be accompanied by a parent or other party other than an FV accredited coach. FV accredited coaches are permitted within the venue, subject to density limitations. For more information (click here) for FAQs on the State Fencing Centre’s COVID-19 procedures. Please note: Due to COVID-19 restrictions last year, the FV board has agreed to change the criteria for a novice fencer to – ‘a fencer having fenced for less than three years’, not two years. This means you still qualify as a Novice if you started fencing in 2019. These criteria will only be valid in 2021. If you have any questions regarding this, please e-mail firstname.lastname@example.org.
Competitors should note carefully the guidelines associated with entering multiple events that may overlap.
