The State Open Championships is now available for Registration. This event is being run as a’ High-Performance Televised Sporting Event ‘. As Melbourne is currently in lockdown, the guidelines are that only high-performance or professional sport may take place.
To qualify as ‘High Performance’ for these events, you must have a National Ranking of at least U20 Level. U20, U23, Open and Veteran are all acceptable.

“The categories of authorised workers released by the Victoria government include “professional or high-performance sportsperson, workers that support the safe running of that person’s professional sport” and broadcasters.
Authorised workers must have their first vaccine shot by Oct. 15 and their second by Nov. 26 or face being banned from their workplaces”.
It is therefore important that all persons who wish to enter the State Open, MUST by the 15th October, also be able to show proof of their vaccination status.
