Fencing is a sport made up of 3 disciplines – Epee, Foil and Sabre. Fencing is one of only 5 sports that has been featured in all the Modern Olympic Games.
The Sport is suitable for all age groups, with competition levels varying from Under 9 years of age, to Veteran (40+). It is a sport where the mental workout can be as tough as the physical.
Fencing is a ‘Combat Sport’, so safety is important. Uniform requirements are imposed for training and competition.
