The “Star” system is the Fencing Victoria club accreditation system – a higher number of stars indicates a higher level of structured programs, professional development, coaching, etc. The level of a Club is denoted by the * after their name. The Dragons Fencing Club includes members of all ages & weapons. Members participate in activities organised by their personal coach/es and squad training sessions at the State Training Centre in North Melbourne organised by Fencing Victoria.
The club also has a junior group where all instruction is given in Chinese.

La Trobe University Fencing Club
La Trobe University Fencing Club is an awesome and fantastic fencing club that can cater to the needs of social and competitive fencers alike. We specialise in epee and we also offer foil too. From time to time, we organize sabre nights as well. Our beginner courses go for 10 weeks, starting on the first Friday of March, and August, and each session is repeated the following Tuesday. New members are welcome to join at any time though!
We are open to not just LTU students and staff, we are also open to the general public, and there is no minimum and maximum age.

Melbourne University Fencing Club

Training Times:Training nights are Mondays and Fridays throughout the year (including during semester breaks).
Location: We train in the East Stadium of the Melbourne University Sports Centre off
Monash University Fencing Club
We run sessions in both Sabre and Foil. We have no upper limit on age however all members must be at least 16 years of age to join. Membership allows members to join sessions in any weapon, though beginner classes for all weapons typically run for ten weeks from the start of each semester (beginning late February and late July of each year) at an additional cost. Non members may also train by purchasing a one session casual pass.

Victorian Fencing Academy
Victorian Fencing Academy (VFA) trains in multiple venues – Box Hill North and North Melbourne. Training is in Epee, the most popular weapon fenced in Australia and Internationally. We cater for ages 7+ with beginner classes for 1-2 terms flowing into supervised development sessions for all ages with intensive training opportunities provided once a reasonable standard has been reached. We focus on providing opportunities to fencers to extend and challenge themselves and participate socially, semi-competitively, or compete at State, National or International level.

VRI Fencing Club in Richmond offers fencing in Epée, Sabre and Modern Pentathlon. We have training suitable for all ages.
We offer fencing classes and squads from beginner to elite level. Our dedicated fencing gym is open all week for classes, bouting and private coaching.
We also run Adult Epee beginner classes throughout the year for those who want to try the sport of fencing.
Western Swords Fencing Club
Western Swords aim is to give immigrant kids and their families the chance to fence at no cost. Through donations and sponsorships we provide certified coaches and all necessary equipment to give everyone the chance to have fun with swords! Fencing is ideal for anyone aged 9 and up, including mums and dads! Any fitness level is fine – you can learn at your own pace.
