The Process
Step 1.
Join a club
You must be a member of an affiliated fencing club to become a member of Fencing Victoria. This may involve paying a club membership fee. See our club directory to find a club near you!
Step 2.
Purchase A Fencing Victoria Club/School Membership
The Club/School Membership is our base level membership. This membership is separate and additional to any club membership fee you paid to your club.
Step 3.
Purchase Membership upgrades
Once you have a Club/School membership you can purchase the Full Membership and Coach Affiliation upgrades – see our Coach Affiliation page for full list of requirements for coaches.

NOTE: Full memberships are configured as an upgrade to a club/school membership in our member portal. This allows individuals to start the year with a club/school membership and upgrade to full if they want to later.

Free Memberships
Para-fencing Membership
While Fencing Victoria is in the process of expanding its wheelchair fencing offerings, we offer a complimentary membership to those who would like to join our para-fencing come-and-try sessions.
A para-fencing membership only grants access Fencing Victoria run para-fencing sessions.
competition officials Membership
We offer a complimentary membership to our dedicated referees and competition officials who are no longer training or competing but continue to contribute to the running of our events.
This membership grants access to:
- Refereeing seminars
- Referee/DT employment opportunities
Life Membership
Life Memberships are awarded by the Fencing Victoria Board of Directors in recognition outstanding contributions to our community and organisation.
Life membership has the benefits of a full membership.
