Bookings for our winter school holiday have-a-go sessions are now open. Fencing is a great winter sport – indoors, and wearing lots of clothing.
Join us at the State Fencing Centre in North Melbourne for a 90 minute introduction to the sport of fencing.
These sessions are suitable for primary and secondary school children aged 7+. All equipment is provided, complete beginners are welcome! Our experienced coaches will guide you from “En Guarde!” to “Fence!”
If you’ve done an introduction session before, extension activities are available including using Epee or Sabre.

Cost is $20 per person.
New training camp option!
For children aged 10+, you can now sign up for the whole day (3 sessions, 9:30am-3pm).
This is particularly useful if you are traveling a long way, or have already tried some fencing and want to spend a whole day improving your skills.
To sign up, please create an account on our online portal. Once logged in you will be able to register for your preferred session. Click here for a step-by-step guide to the registration process.
If you need to register multiple children:
Select ‘Myself’ for the Primary user and then ‘Someone else’ for each of the following registrations and fill in their data. This means the whole family can now log in with the one password and do all their transactions within the one log-in.

For each child, select their name on the right, then click the register button on your chosen session. Scroll down and click “Next” to add the registration to your cart. Once you have finished, select “No” to adding more registrations, and you will be taken to your cart for payment.
